「句子重組」題型，存在全民英檢 (GEPT) 的初級複試和四技二專統一入學測驗 (就是統測) 的非選擇題中。
想在此題得分，其實只要掌握動詞的變化規則，就可以幫助快速判斷並縮短答題時間，今天就一起來看看吧！
複習一下動詞變化
動詞放在句子中，常常會因應前面的字而做出變化，這些包含了：
遇單數/第三人稱主詞時 + s
遇介係詞 (of, by, about…) 轉為 Ving
遇到助動詞 (do, does, did, can, will…) 現原形
to V，to 後接動詞原形 (* to 後面改 Ving 的狀況比較少出現在此題型中)
動詞還有其他變化，但一樣相對少出現在考題中，因此以上面幾項為主要規則進行判斷。
解題技巧
在題目的各組字中，看排在第一位的動詞，接著觀察各組的最後一個字。
如前述，動詞會因為前一個字做出變化，所以把它們確認清楚就可以順利完成這個題型。

統測模擬考題
首先找出主詞 Some jails (大寫放在句首) 並找出兩個動詞 are (are 是 be 動詞) 和 have。
Some jails 這個複數字後面接著寫 are 和 have 都有可能，但看倒數第二組字：in order to，要可以馬上想到 to V 規則，所以主詞後只剩 are painted pink 可以寫，進而初步編排順序如下：
Some jails are painted pink
in order to have
再配上其他組合：have a calming effect on prisoners (對事物影響使用 on)，得出以下：
Some jails are painted pink in order to have a calming effect on prisoners. 👍
再練習一題
go to the movies / watching TV alone / with her friends / Jessica prefers to / instead of
統測模擬考題
找出句首 Jessica prefers to，接著一樣挑選出 go 和 watching 這兩個和動詞有關的字進行判斷。
當然 prefers 也是動詞，但因為不是位在該組第一個字，而且已經確定位置，在此例中對解題較無幫助。
接著看到 Jessica prefers to 和 instead of，要能想到 to V 和介係詞後 Ving 規則，於是初步寫成：
Jessica prefers to go to the movies
instead of watching TV alone
最後再配合 alone，把剩下的 with her friends 分配給看電影就完成啦：
Jessica prefers to go to the movies with her friends instead of watching TV alone. 👍
最後的小提醒
這個題型可能會透過關係代名詞、被動式等來增加變化或稍微提升難度，
但在熟悉文法規則的狀態下，是可以不用準確翻譯整句就完成作答的。
所以平時除了背單字之外，熟悉文法規則也是很重要的！
